IP67: protects against temporary immersion (1m / 30 min). Required for surveying operations in coastal, marine, or rainy environments. Standard for our drone case SKU range.
MIL-STD-810G drop test: drone cases are dropped frequently (helicopter cargo, truck beds, parachute drops). 26 drops from 1.2m onto plywood over concrete is the standard test. Required for defence / SAR / inspection operations.
Pressure-equalisation valve: allows air pressure to equalise between case interior and external atmosphere. Critical for drone operations involving altitude changes (helicopter cargo, mountain surveying). Without the valve, the case may "pop" open on descent or become impossible to open on ascent.
Automatic pressure-equalisation valves are standard on our IP67 drone cases. Manual purge valves available for subsea ROVs.

Lithium drone batteries require special handling under UN 38.3 + IATA +49°C thermal test. Verify before procurement.
Lithium drone batteries (TB65, TB51, Mavic 3 Intelligent Flight Battery) must comply with UN 38.3 transportation testing for shipping. The case itself must allow batteries to be transported safely within the foam cutout.
Best practice: batteries in foam cutout with cavity separation to prevent contact. No loose batteries. Charging hub integrated into foam cutout.
Heat: batteries self-heat during operation. Case foam must allow heat dissipation. Convoluted PU on lid for thermal isolation. Avoid sealed foam that traps heat.
For shipping: drone + batteries in case qualifies as "contained battery" under IATA Section II. No special dangerous goods declaration needed if case is properly labelled and batteries <100Wh each.
